We are happy to share some great news about the Duckmoors family! Yesterday, five of our pack members underwent their annual eye exams and we are happy to report that everyone's eyes are unaffected including gonio (PLA) - even our senior stars!

FTAW Kaliture Finn "Finn" -  11,5 years old
I’m super happy for my old boy, Finn. Passing his eye test is quite important for him, so he can still fully work on shoots and mark all the game. I don’t take this for granted, as my previous seniors suffered from cataracts in old age, which affected their ability to work even though their legs were still fit.

Kaliture Toffee Crisp "Toffee" – 8,5 years old
After retiring from breeding, Toffee can now fully enjoy her retirement and continue working as much as possible. She’s still going strong!

Duckmoors All That Jazz "Jazzie" – 5,5 years old
Jazzie has been fully tested recently - full blood check, thyroid check, and eye exam - with excellent results. We’ve decided to breed her now and have chosen a UK stud. We’ll be traveling as soon as she’s in season (October-November)

Duckmoors Call Me Neema "Neema" – 1,5 years old
This was Neema's first eye test, and we’re hopeful she’ll continue with good results in the coming years!

Duckmoors Dreamcatcher "Toby" – 1 year old
This was also Toby’s first eye test, and we are happy with the results, even more that he had his X-rays done too, and the results are super:
    * Hips: B
    * Elbows: 0/0
    * OCD shoulders: unaffected
    * Spine: all clear (No vertebral anomalies, Lumbosacral Transitional Vertebra, or Spondylosis)

Toby is now ready to fully start his training, and we’re hopeful he’ll join us on some picking-up days soon. He’s already showing excellent skills in his work and looks to be a very promising boy with lovely character!

We couldn’t be prouder of our gang, and we look forward to keeping them happy, healthy, and doing what they love!

We all caught up on some much-needed sleep, and now it's time to introduce the newest members of our family: the E litter from Dappa and Toffee!
Toffee gave birth to 9 pups on Monday. Unfortunately, one big boy was born still, and another little guy behind him didn't make it, likely due to a lack of oxygen. Such is the life of a breeder—it's not always easy, and it can be heartbreaking. However, what matters most is that Toffee is okay. No need for a c-section, no other complications, and she showed incredible bravery throughout the birthing process without giving up.

After facing some challenges last year, we're incredibly grateful for the arrival of 7 new Duckmoors pups—4 girls and 3 boys. Here's to new beginnings and a brighter future!

Our dreamed puppies are here. Toffee gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies on Friday during just 3 hours. Everything went smoothly and all are doing well. We have 6 boys and 2 girls - B litter. 

All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them!
It was not an easy way, but what an exciting times in front of us :)
Litter 2021 - Kaliture Toffee Crisp x Tawnyhill Teddy

This week we were able to manage a small litter meeting in Czechia where we met with the puppies from our A litter - Mango (living in Slovenia) and Rosie (living in Slovakia). Mummy Toffee, sister Jazz and uncle Finn joined them too :)

Our picking-up season started on Saturday with ducks. Challenging weather conditions and difficult retrieves. We had only wounded ducks and long blinds, not one mark. Very happy about Finn, Toffee and Lou, especially Lou was just great today on all wounded birds, she showed huge determination and patience and really surprised me a lot ❤️
Not many pictures as the weather was really bad, but I was happy to catch one of the Lou’s retrieve where she fought really long time with one duck and “he” fought very long time with her, scratching her face, hitting her eyes, she lost him more times, but on the end Lou won! If I would have a steak there, she would get it 🙂.

Toffee delivered during short time her first puppies. We have 5 males and 3 bitches and all are doing great. Toffee is an excellent mom ;)

Our trip to UK in March was successful and we are expecting puppies on the end of May :)

26.-28.3.2019 - during last days we have traveled to UK to meet Bizz and his owner Keith. Hopefully the meeting was successful and we will expect our first litter in two months.

Very happy for both and especially for Toffee that she is completely healthy girl. Our picking-up season is over and we are waiting for Toffee's season now and looking forward for her first litter in next months ;)

Both girls joined us on the ducks and pheasants this season. I'm very pleased with both of them.

We've switched dummies for game this weekend and both girls earned their hunting licenses finally.

Toffee won just because she is 4 months younger than Lou ;) I'm so happy for both of them but especially for my fighter Lou that she was able to compete in hot weather whole day with all others even with her handicap and she really fought hard and did not give up until the end. Now we can enjoy picking up days finally!
Thanks to Tatiana who helped me during the test with switching dogs and Dušan for his time and possibility to train them before the test!

Som spokojná s oboma avšak špeciálne veľmi hrdá na Lou, ktorá bola schopná pracovať v teplom počasí celý deň s ostatnými aj napriek svojmu hendikepu, nevzdala sa a vydržala až dokonca. Teraz si už konečne môžeme užívať poľovačky v plnom zložení!
Ďakujem Tatiane, ktorá mi pomohla počas skúšok s prehadzovaním psov a Dušanovi za jeho čas a možnosť trénovať s babami pred skúškami! 

Ďalší namáhavý a veľmi horúci deň v Maďarsku a opäť úspešný.
