We are happy to share some great news about the Duckmoors family! Yesterday, five of our pack members underwent their annual eye exams and we are happy to report that everyone's eyes are unaffected including gonio (PLA) - even our senior stars! FTAW Kaliture Finn "Finn" - 11,5 years old I’m super happy for my old boy, Finn. Passing his eye test is quite important for him, so he can still fully work on shoots and mark all the game. I don’t take this for granted, as my previous seniors suffered from cataracts in old age, which affected their ability to work even though their legs were still fit. Kaliture Toffee Crisp "Toffee" – 8,5 years old After retiring from breeding, Toffee can now fully enjoy her retirement and continue working as much as possible. She’s still going strong! Duckmoors All That Jazz "Jazzie" – 5,5 years old Jazzie has been fully tested recently - full blood check, thyroid check, and eye exam - with excellent results. We’ve decided to breed her now and have chosen a UK stud. We’ll be traveling as soon as she’s in season (October-November) Duckmoors Call Me Neema "Neema" – 1,5 years old This was Neema's first eye test, and we’re hopeful she’ll continue with good results in the coming years! Duckmoors Dreamcatcher "Toby" – 1 year old This was also Toby’s first eye test, and we are happy with the results, even more that he had his X-rays done too, and the results are super: * Hips: B * Elbows: 0/0 * OCD shoulders: unaffected * Spine: all clear (No vertebral anomalies, Lumbosacral Transitional Vertebra, or Spondylosis) Toby is now ready to fully start his training, and we’re hopeful he’ll join us on some picking-up days soon. He’s already showing excellent skills in his work and looks to be a very promising boy with lovely character! We couldn’t be prouder of our gang, and we look forward to keeping them happy, healthy, and doing what they love! Big congratulations to Cita's brother, Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy, who just passed his first FCI IPO RH Water V rescue test! 🐾🚤 Despite the windy conditions and challenging distance, Cooper gave it his all and proved just how talented he is. 🐕🌬️ We’re so proud of Cooper's achievements, and it sounds like this won’t be his last water exam! Well done to both Cooper and his owner for this wonderful accomplishment. 🎉🌟 Duckmoors Brave Skye "Cita" has once again proven her skills, finishing in an 8th place at the challenging Working Test in Slovenia - 7.9.2024! 🐾💪 According to her owner, it was a tough competition with demanding tasks, but Cita gave it her all. The English judge was fair, friendly, and set some excellent tasks, Despite the challenges, Cita stayed focused and delivered another nice performance! Huge congratulations to Cita and a big thank you to Waltraud for your dedication and hard work! Today we celebrate the one and only special puppy from Jazzie – Duckmoors Dreamcatcher - TOBY! 🎂🐕 From the moment you were born, you’ve brought so much joy and love into our lives. Watching you grow into such a handsome, intelligent, and loyal companion has been an absolute pleasure. We wish you a wonderful birthday filled with all your favorite things – endless belly rubs, tasty treats, and plenty of fun adventures! 🎾🐾 Wishing you a lifetime of health, happiness, and success in all the exciting challenges to come. HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY, TOBY! And last but certainly not least, let me introduce you to the puppy who captured everyone's hearts and ended up staying with us - Wookie! From the beginning, I said she wouldn’t stay, but everyone around us loved her and insisted she should be part of our family. So, we did! Wookie has her pros and cons, like every dog does, I’m not wearing pink glasses when judging my dogs. Only time will show us what we can achieve together. Today, she turns 7 months old, just like the rest of the litter. Wookie has already joined us on a few short holidays, proving to be an amazing travel buddy. She absolutely loves the car and exploring new places. All the dogs here love her to bits, and she’s easily recognizable as our puppy with the white star on top of her head. Life has been busy lately, and with the scorching summer in our area, we’ve been spending as much time as possible by the lake or river. Wookie is an absolute water freak, just like all her siblings.
Finally, I’ve found some time to update the website and I can't believe how quickly time has passed! Our last litter is already 7 months old, so it's about time I introduce them to you all. First up is our turquoise boy, who has found his forever home in the beautiful part of Austria. Meet Duckmoors Evening Echo, aka Jazero. In slovak, "Jazero" means "lake," which is a fitting name since he’s living right by one! Jazero is thriving in his new home with another four-legged buddy, and it’s heartwarming to see him so happy. A huge thank you to Bianca for taking such wonderful care of him. Wishing you both endless fun and joy in the years ahead! I’m thrilled to share some wonderful news about Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy. Today was an exciting and nerve-wracking day for Angie as she bravely scheduled an appointment with the highly recommended veterinarian Dr. Wallner in St. Pölten. This appointment was no ordinary vet visit—it was a thorough examination involving X-rays for HD (hip dysplasia), ED (elbow dysplasia), and OCD (osteochondritis dissecans). Despite initial anxieties, Angie and her boyfriend made the long journey to St. Pölten with Cooper, and their efforts were rewarded with nothing but good news. Dr. Wagner, known for his detailed and patient approach, explained every step of the process, ensuring Angie was present and informed throughout the examination. The results are in, and they couldn’t be better:
Thank you, Angie, for your trust and commitment to Cooper’s health and happiness. Your journey together continues to inspire, and I’m thrilled to see Cooper thriving in every aspect of his life. My heartfelt congratulations! Today marks an incredible milestone for two of Duckmoors exceptional pups, Cooper and Cita! They embarked on their first real rescue dog operation in Austria, and I couldn’t be prouder of their bravery and skills in the field. Their owners shared the exciting news, along with some heartwarming pictures, capturing Cooper and Cita in action. These two remarkable dogs have been training diligently for moments like this, and today, all their hard work paid off. Seeing them in their element, working to help others, is a true testament to the dedication and effort put into their training. This operation is just the beginning for Cooper and Cita, and I’m eager to see them continue to thrive in their roles as rescue dogs. I am overjoyed to announce another incredible milestone for Angie and her amazing dog, Cooper! Today marks a very special day in their journey as Cooper successfully passed the IPO RH Fläche A rescue dog exam, officially earning his title as a certified rescue dog! 😍🐾 Angie shared with me that although she was nervous at the beginning, once the exam started, it turned into a fun and fulfilling experience working with Cooper. And the results speak for themselves—Cooper performed exceptionally well! In the obedience and dexterity section, Cooper scored an impressive 94 out of 100 points. But the true highlight was his nose work in the area search, where he achieved an outstanding 182 out of 200 points. This brought their total score to a remarkable 276 points out of 300, earning them a "very good" rating overall! 🥰💪🏻 Thanks to their hard work and dedication, Angie and Cooper are now qualified to participate in search missions together. This is a tremendous accomplishment, and I couldn’t be prouder of their success. Cooper’s skill, enthusiasm, and professionalism were on full display, proving once again what an extraordinary dog he is. 🙌🏻 I want to extend my warmest congratulations to Angie and Cooper for this fantastic achievement. Your dedication and the beautiful bond you share are truly inspiring. I am so proud to see Cooper thriving in his role as a rescue dog and know that he will continue to bring so much goodness to the world, both in his work and in your lives together. Thank you, Angie, for your continued trust in me and for giving Cooper such a wonderful life. I wish you both many more successful missions and happy moments together! I am happy to share some wonderful news from Austria! Today, in a spontaneous decision, two of my beloved puppies participated in Retriever exams! Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy took on the RBP 2 and scored an impressive 93 out of 100 points. Meanwhile, Waltraud & Cita - Duckmoors Bright Skye participated in the GAP 2 and also achieved a score of 93 out of 100 points. This remarkable performance is a testament to the incredible bond between these pups and their owners, as well as their hard work and dedication to training. Congratulations to everyone involved, and here's to more successes in the future! 🥰🥰🥰 We are happy to welcome a new member to our gundog pack! After searching for the perfect home for our special orange girl for a long time (and we did find good homes, sorry to all…), we realized that she has been home all along. Introducing WOOKIE! She is 4 months old already, but she is showing incredible natural abilities since the beginning on. She is super keen on work, retrieving everything from different game to every dummy, delivering them straight to my face. Her hunting skills are top-notch, and she’s a natural heel worker (who wouldn’t love that?). She’s an absolutely smart puppy, learning at an incredible pace and with such ease. She has an excellent nose. If you let her search for anything, she works like a pro and will not stop until she finds her dummy and places it on my head! She is also an absolute water freak, loving the water as much as all Goldens should. How could we ever let her go? Plus, she absolutely loves all people around her, making her a joy to have in our lives. Welcome to the family, Wookie! Duckmoors Ember Hollow - Moscargrange Dappa x Kaliture Toffee Crisp Happy 5th Birthday to Jazzie and all her wonderful siblings from Duckmooors A litter - Rosie, Vodka, Mango, Tango, Messi, Luke & Stormy!
Jazzie, you are truly one of a kind. As the first pup born in our kennel, you've always held a special place in our hearts. We wish you nothing but the best and hope you stay as healthy and happy as you are until now. You're our house clown, always smiling and demanding all the hugs in the world. Your cheeky personality and your knack for climbing into every visitor's lap to steal their attention never fail to bring us funny moments You work your socks off for me on every hunting, and I hope we can enjoy many more together in the future. Last year was a bit challenging with your litter, but you blessed us with a singleton who is just as special as you are. We adore him to bits! Your precious son Toby To all your siblings - Rosie, Vodka, Mango, Tango, Messi, Luke & Stormy - we wish you the happiest of birthdays. You are all incredibly special, our first Duckmoors, and you will always hold a special place in my heart. Happy Birthday! Wish you many more years of joy, love, and endless cuddles. I'm incredibly thankful to all the owners for the excellent care you've given to all our A pups. You are all amazing! We're happy that Duckmoors Bright Skye - Cita made a debut at her first beginners working test in Slovenia. Her owners, Waltraud and Jasmin, were excited to see Cita perform well in this family-like event. At two stations, they felt confident, with one judge particularly enthusiastic about Cita's performance. However, one station proved challenging, costing her some points. Despite that, Cita finished on the 5th place. Congratulations Waltraud and Cita! I’m happy to share the amazing news about Angie and her incredible dog, Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy, who recently achieved outstanding success in their first FCI IPO Rescue Dog exam in Austria! 🥳🎉 The real highlight of the day was their performance in the nosework area, where Cooper excelled beyond expectations, scoring an impressive 98 out of 100 points! This remarkable achievement earned them high praise from the judges, as Cooper worked with power, happiness, and precision, even under the challenging hot weather conditions. His joyful barks and enthusiasm were simply contagious! 🤩 In total, Angie and Cooper scored 178 points, a truly commendable result for their first rescue exam. This success is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the special bond they share. Now, they are setting their sights on training for mission readiness, with even more determination and excitement. I couldn't be prouder of Angie and Cooper and their incredible journey together. Cooper is not only a talented rescue dog in training but also a wonderful companion in every aspect of life—whether it's chilling on the couch, going on adventures, or training together. His enthusiasm and love for life shine through in everything he does. 🩵 Congratulations, Angie and Cooper! I'm so excited to see what the future holds for you both. Keep up the amazing work, and know that we are cheering you on every step of the way! 💪🏻🥰 Thank you, Angie, for giving Cooper such a loving and fulfilling life. He is indeed a very special dog, and I’m honored to have played a part in bringing you two together. Best wishes from the entire team! We all caught up on some much-needed sleep, and now it's time to introduce the newest members of our family: the E litter from Dappa and Toffee!
Toffee gave birth to 9 pups on Monday. Unfortunately, one big boy was born still, and another little guy behind him didn't make it, likely due to a lack of oxygen. Such is the life of a breeder—it's not always easy, and it can be heartbreaking. However, what matters most is that Toffee is okay. No need for a c-section, no other complications, and she showed incredible bravery throughout the birthing process without giving up. After facing some challenges last year, we're incredibly grateful for the arrival of 7 new Duckmoors pups—4 girls and 3 boys. Here's to new beginnings and a brighter future! |
