I am happy to share some wonderful news from Austria! Today, in a spontaneous decision, two of my beloved puppies participated in Retriever exams!
Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy took on the RBP 2 and scored an impressive 93 out of 100 points. Meanwhile, Waltraud & Cita - Duckmoors Bright Skye participated in the GAP 2 and also achieved a score of 93 out of 100 points.
This remarkable performance is a testament to the incredible bond between these pups and their owners, as well as their hard work and dedication to training.

We're happy that Duckmoors Bright Skye - Cita made a debut at her first beginners working test in Slovenia. Her owners, Waltraud and Jasmin, were excited to see Cita perform well in this family-like event. At two stations, they felt confident, with one judge particularly enthusiastic about Cita's performance. However, one station proved challenging, costing her some points.

Despite that, Cita finished on the 5th place. Congratulations Waltraud and Cita!

I’m happy to share the amazing news about Angie and her incredible dog, Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy, who recently achieved outstanding success in their first FCI IPO Rescue Dog exam in Austria! 🥳🎉

The real highlight of the day was their performance in the nosework area, where Cooper excelled beyond expectations, scoring an impressive 98 out of 100 points! This remarkable achievement earned them high praise from the judges, as Cooper worked with power, happiness, and precision, even under the challenging hot weather conditions. His joyful barks and enthusiasm were simply contagious! 🤩
In total, Angie and Cooper scored 178 points, a truly commendable result for their first rescue exam. This success is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the special bond they share. Now, they are setting their sights on training for mission readiness, with even more determination and excitement.
I couldn't be prouder of Angie and Cooper and their incredible journey together. Cooper is not only a talented rescue dog in training but also a wonderful companion in every aspect of life—whether it's chilling on the couch, going on adventures, or training together. His enthusiasm and love for life shine through in everything he does. 🩵

We all caught up on some much-needed sleep, and now it's time to introduce the newest members of our family: the E litter from Dappa and Toffee!
Toffee gave birth to 9 pups on Monday. Unfortunately, one big boy was born still, and another little guy behind him didn't make it, likely due to a lack of oxygen. Such is the life of a breeder—it's not always easy, and it can be heartbreaking. However, what matters most is that Toffee is okay. No need for a c-section, no other complications, and she showed incredible bravery throughout the birthing process without giving up.

After facing some challenges last year, we're incredibly grateful for the arrival of 7 new Duckmoors pups—4 girls and 3 boys. Here's to new beginnings and a brighter future!

I’m happy to share the latest news about Cita - Duckmoors Bright Skye and her incredible performance at the Working Test in Güssing, Austria—her final test for 2023. Competing in the newcomer category, Cita finished the year on a high note, securing 7th place out of 32 starters.

With 19 dogs passing the test, Cita’s result was particularly impressive, missing the "very good" rating by just one point. Despite this narrow miss, Waltraud, Cita’s proud owner, couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Cita also earned the distinction of being the best Golden Retriever in the competition—a true testament to her "golden power."
This achievement marks a fantastic end to Cita's working test season for 2023, and I couldn't be prouder of the progress she and Waltraud have made. I look forward to seeing what this duo will accomplish in the coming year!

Let’s welcome our second singleton puppy
Jazzie gave birth to a big singleton boy naturally, what a rockstar she was to manage it within an hour as a first-time mom! She is absolutely in love with her son from the first second and keeps an eye on him nonstop. Thanks God for such a good mothers!

Well, we are a good example of the other side of the breeding now, when you invest two times thousands of euros, travel 4000km and the fate is still not on our side. This time an arrogant officer on FR-UK borders ruined our dream as she banned Jazz from entering UK, cancelled our boarding at the worst time when she was in higher progesterone already and ready for mating. 1 hour of fight with stupid officers, during which an old pair with 5 terriers entered the pet reception and they did not managed them, they got off the leash and immediately attacked Jazz, even fight between each other. Jazz was absolutely in shock, hanging in the air while I was kicking f…. terriers. Thanks to a foreigner who helped us to get them away from us because the old pair did just nothing. That was the moment we gave up and went away with limping and totally shocked Jazz. We spent a day in France on the beach and after calming down all the emotions we decided to give it another shot, at that point there was nothing to lose besides extra money for another hotel and train.

Next day we just tried to enter UK again and hoped for another officer and they let us go with no troubles, same passport, same vaccination, no explanation. I’ve travelled to UK many times, but this was the first time we experienced such a non-sense situation in which nothing helped. I can’t even write lesson learned, because we did nothing wrong, Jazz travelled with all valid documents and vaccinations .

So, that was our unforgettable journey with a lot of emotions and we started a new one with a little boy now.
Not what we were hoping for, but only important they are both fit and healthy and no surgery was needed.

I'm thrilled to share the news that  Cita - Duckmoors Bright Skye, under the guidance of her dedicated owner Waltraud, has successfully passed her first rescue exam, the FCI IPO RH Fläche V. This milestone marks an important step in Cita's journey toward becoming a certified rescue dog.

Waltraud shared some insights from their experience, noting that while it was a long day, it was ultimately a successful one. Cita performed well in obedience and dexterity, with some exercises being particularly strong, while others were a bit sloppy. In the search portion, Cita's incredible nose shone through—she found the missing person in just seconds!
I'm confident that Cita will rise to the challenge. I'm incredibly proud of the progress Cita and Waltraud have made together and excited to see what the future holds for this promising team!

I'm excited to share another achievement by Cita - Duckmoors Bright Skye, who recently participated in the Working Test in Maria Schmolln, Austria. Her owner, Waltraud, shared an amusing yet challenging moment from the day.

During the test, Cita faced an unexpected distraction—a cat wandered into the search area! Naturally curious, Cita was momentarily distracted, making the task more difficult. Thankfully, the cat eventually ran off, and Cita was able to refocus on her task.
Despite this unexpected challenge, Cita successfully completed the test, finishing in 9th place. Her ability to overcome distractions and still pass the test is a testament to her growing skills and resilience. I’m proud of their progress and excited to see her continue to develop!
