Another successfull Duckmoors pup - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy "Cooper" had a successful run this weekend -the 1st ÖRHB-Sieger:in 2025 in Kraubath - stepping into the “king’s discipline,” Area Search (Fläche) Level B, and bringing home an incredible 🥉 3rd place with an overall very good score! Beyond this big podium, Cooper also successfully passed multiple exams this year: • FCI/IRO SAR Fläche B • FCI/IRO SAR Wasser A • FCI IPO Lawine Stufe V and… he also got his breeding permission! ✅ Cooper is now available at stud for suitable, health-tested bitches. Huge congratulations, Angie - from the bottom of my heart - for building such a fantastic team with Cooper. We’re unbelievably proud of you both! Our young star Duckmoors Dreamcatcher "Toby" has started on two working tests last weeks: At the WT Final Sázava in Czechia he placed 3rd in E Class with an incredible 77/80 points. Last weekend on WT Jedlove Kostolany he stepped up to L class for the very first time, ran his first blinds, and finished 4th after a run-off for 2.-4. place, only 1 point behind the winner! (71/80 points). To top it all off, he was awarded the Judges’ Choice – what a huge compliment for such a young dog. Congratulations!!! And as the cherry on the cake, Toby has also just celebrated his Birthday. We wish him lots of health, happiness, and continued success in training & tests! What an incredible weekend at the Working Test in the beautiful pheasantry of Menin! We’re beyond proud of the results of Duckmoors' dogs achieved: Duckmoors Autumn Tumble "Tango" with Anna had a phenomenal run! On Saturday, they started strong in M class with two 20s, but unfortunately picked up a zero on one of the exercises. However, they didn’t let that bring them down. On Sunday, facing much tougher tasks, they came back stronger and won the M class 🥇 with an excellent score of 76/80 (20/17/19/20)! And that’s not all -- In a last-minute decision, they entered the Open class as well, and what a debut it was! - 3rd place 🥉 with an impressive 74/80 (20/18/20/16), also marked as excellent. Huge congratulations to Anna & Tango! 💪🏆 Duckmoors Call Me Neema ran in E class and finished 6th with 67/80 (very good - 16/20/12/19). A solid performance, though one task cost us some valuable points – we’ll be sharper next time! Duckmoors Dreamcatcher "Toby" unfortunately scored a silly zero this time — but that’s how the game goes. He’ll be back stronger! A special shout-out to Watchful Eye Golden Gaj "Haker", Tango’s son (Toffee's grandson), who placed 3rd in M class on Saturday with 72/80 points (17/15/20/20). Congratulations to his team – we're so proud to see Tango's legacy shining through! All in all, a weekend full of learning, progress, and joy. Congratulations to everyone who participated and thank you to the organizers and judges for a great event! After some recent bad luck at our last working test (one silly zero), this weekend brought a bit more luck and better results! Another long trip behind us, but so worth it. At the Working Test in Melník/CZ, organized by Retriever Sport CZ and judged by Ian Lohoar and Graham Wilson (UK), in the E class with 27 starters: Duckmoors Call Me Neema “Neema” (FTW Loveloch Valentino x Kaliture Toffee Crisp) 1st place excellent 20/20/20/18 (lost 2 points because I was “sleeping” and didn’t use the whistle at the right time — sorry, Neema!) Duckmoors Dreamcatcher “Toby” (Moscargrange Dappa x Duckmoors All That Jazz) 2nd place excellent - just 1 point behind Neema! Congratulations Eva & Toby! Hard work really pays off! In the afternoon, after a very long wait for the V class (unfortunately we couldn’t leave the seniors in the car to rest because it was too hot), they had to spend hours waiting for their class, staying on the leash and walking around with the youngsters. This completely drained Finn, and he sadly finished with one zero. Anyway, with our veterans, it’s all about giving them a good time and letting them feel they are still important to us. On the end, only one veteran survived: Kaliture Toffee Crisp (Neema’s mom and Toby’s grandma) 1st place – not high scores, but she gave it her all, pity making blinds from marks , but being handled with enthusiasm! She refused to give up, especially on the last test. Thank you to the organizers for nice event and judges for the nice exercises, fair but strict judging. Special thanks to my daughter who stayed at home and took care of the rest of the dogs, so I was able to travel for extra days! Another adventure and memories to treasure! Great News! Cooper's eyes test results are in! Cooper – Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy, recently underwent comprehensive eye testing, and the results couldn’t be better - ECVO 25/02/2025 all clear and unaffected! Health testing is a crucial step in responsible breeding and ensuring the well-being of our dogs. A huge congratulations to Cooper’s owners for their dedication and care! 🎉 Exciting news from Duckmoors! Hopefully the puppies will arrive mid-January 2025 with both parents possessing the drive, calmness, and steady temperament essential for active working homes. Mom: Duckmoors All That Jazz "Jazzie" Dad: Warpersmoss Rafferty Rules "Raff" More info here... It seems that winter break wasn’t in the cards for Cita and her owner, Waltraud, after all! Despite plans to take a break, they decided to participate in the ÖRC SLP (Search Performance Test) in Styria. And the results are in - Duckmoors Bright Skye "Cita" successfully passed the test with 92 out of 100 points! 🐾👏 A big congratulations to Cita and Waltraud for yet another achievement this year! 🎉 Duckmoors Dreamcatcher "Toby" 1 year old We are happy to share some great news about the Duckmoors family! Yesterday, five of our pack members underwent their annual eye exams and we are happy to report that everyone's eyes are unaffected including gonio (PLA) - even our senior stars! FTAW Kaliture Finn "Finn" - 11,5 years old I’m super happy for my old boy, Finn. Passing his eye test is quite important for him, so he can still fully work on shoots and mark all the game. I don’t take this for granted, as my previous seniors suffered from cataracts in old age, which affected their ability to work even though their legs were still fit. Kaliture Toffee Crisp "Toffee" – 8,5 years old After retiring from breeding, Toffee can now fully enjoy her retirement and continue working as much as possible. She’s still going strong! Duckmoors All That Jazz "Jazzie" – 5,5 years old Jazzie has been fully tested recently - full blood check, thyroid check, and eye exam - with excellent results. We’ve decided to breed her now and have chosen a UK stud. We’ll be traveling as soon as she’s in season (October-November) Duckmoors Call Me Neema "Neema" – 1,5 years old This was Neema's first eye test, and we’re hopeful she’ll continue with good results in the coming years! Duckmoors Dreamcatcher "Toby" – 1 year old This was also Toby’s first eye test, and we are happy with the results, even more that he had his X-rays done too, and the results are super: * Hips: B * Elbows: 0/0 * OCD shoulders: unaffected * Spine: all clear (No vertebral anomalies, Lumbosacral Transitional Vertebra, or Spondylosis) Toby is now ready to fully start his training, and we’re hopeful he’ll join us on some picking-up days soon. He’s already showing excellent skills in his work and looks to be a very promising boy with lovely character! We couldn’t be prouder of our gang, and we look forward to keeping them happy, healthy, and doing what they love! Big congratulations to Cita's brother, Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy, who just passed his first FCI IPO RH Water V rescue test! 🐾🚤 Despite the windy conditions and challenging distance, Cooper gave it his all and proved just how talented he is. 🐕🌬️ We’re so proud of Cooper's achievements, and it sounds like this won’t be his last water exam! Well done to both Cooper and his owner for this wonderful accomplishment. 🎉🌟 Duckmoors Brave Skye "Cita" has once again proven her skills, finishing in an 8th place at the challenging Working Test in Slovenia - 7.9.2024! 🐾💪 According to her owner, it was a tough competition with demanding tasks, but Cita gave it her all. The English judge was fair, friendly, and set some excellent tasks, Despite the challenges, Cita stayed focused and delivered another nice performance! Huge congratulations to Cita and a big thank you to Waltraud for your dedication and hard work! Today we celebrate the one and only special puppy from Jazzie – Duckmoors Dreamcatcher - TOBY! 🎂🐕 From the moment you were born, you’ve brought so much joy and love into our lives. Watching you grow into such a handsome, intelligent, and loyal companion has been an absolute pleasure. We wish you a wonderful birthday filled with all your favorite things – endless belly rubs, tasty treats, and plenty of fun adventures! 🎾🐾 Wishing you a lifetime of health, happiness, and success in all the exciting challenges to come. HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY, TOBY! And last but certainly not least, let me introduce you to the puppy who captured everyone's hearts and ended up staying with us - Wookie! From the beginning, I said she wouldn’t stay, but everyone around us loved her and insisted she should be part of our family. So, we did! Wookie has her pros and cons, like every dog does, I’m not wearing pink glasses when judging my dogs. Only time will show us what we can achieve together. Today, she turns 7 months old, just like the rest of the litter. Wookie has already joined us on a few short holidays, proving to be an amazing travel buddy. She absolutely loves the car and exploring new places. All the dogs here love her to bits, and she’s easily recognizable as our puppy with the white star on top of her head. Life has been busy lately, and with the scorching summer in our area, we’ve been spending as much time as possible by the lake or river. Wookie is an absolute water freak, just like all her siblings.
Finally, I’ve found some time to update the website and I can't believe how quickly time has passed! Our last litter is already 7 months old, so it's about time I introduce them to you all. First up is our turquoise boy, who has found his forever home in the beautiful part of Austria. Meet Duckmoors Evening Echo, aka Jazero. In slovak, "Jazero" means "lake," which is a fitting name since he’s living right by one! Jazero is thriving in his new home with another four-legged buddy, and it’s heartwarming to see him so happy. A huge thank you to Bianca for taking such wonderful care of him. Wishing you both endless fun and joy in the years ahead! I’m thrilled to share some wonderful news about Cooper - Duckmoors Brave Skaterboy. Today was an exciting and nerve-wracking day for Angie as she bravely scheduled an appointment with the highly recommended veterinarian Dr. Wallner in St. Pölten. This appointment was no ordinary vet visit—it was a thorough examination involving X-rays for HD (hip dysplasia), ED (elbow dysplasia), and OCD (osteochondritis dissecans). Despite initial anxieties, Angie and her boyfriend made the long journey to St. Pölten with Cooper, and their efforts were rewarded with nothing but good news. Dr. Wagner, known for his detailed and patient approach, explained every step of the process, ensuring Angie was present and informed throughout the examination. The results are in, and they couldn’t be better:
Thank you, Angie, for your trust and commitment to Cooper’s health and happiness. Your journey together continues to inspire, and I’m thrilled to see Cooper thriving in every aspect of his life. My heartfelt congratulations! |
